God’s Walls

God’s Walls

“The sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right and on their left.” (Exodus 14:22)

Just because you find yourself in a hard place does not necessarily mean that you missed God or have a lack of faith. Sometimes, according to His Divine plans, He leads us right between a rock and a hard place. It may look like defeat to us but all He sees is the victory.

When God led His people out of Egypt, He led them right to the Red Sea… to a seemingly impossible and deadly situation. But all the while, God was determined to bring His people out and He was determined to achieve total victory over the enemy of His people. What better place to do so then in a dead end? It seemed like God made a mistake but in reality, He had His mind on the bigger picture. If there were no Red Sea, there would be no miracle and no seeing the salvation of the Lord. And if there were no Red Sea, there would be no final defeat of what enslaved them. God was after both… a persevering faith in Him and a complete victory over the enemy.

As they went forward, God sent a strong east wind to sweep back the sea. (Ex. 14:21) And the waters became a wall that guarded and protected them all night as they crossed. (Vs. 22)

As you face your Red Sea, listen for that strong east wind, that mighty rushing wind of the Holy Spirit to be with you and guide you through. And know that He guards and protects you with walls of love and grace. “…Others may forget you, but I will not forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands. Your “WALLS” are continually before me.” (Isaiah 49:15-16) He continually maintains the walls around you to protect you, keep you safe, and to let you know He is there! “And the waters were like a wall…” Thank you my Jesus!
