Have you ever felt forgotten?

“…even these may forget you, but I will not for get you”. (Isaiah 49:15)

Have you ever felt forgotten? Has someone literally forgotten about you? It’s not a nice feeling… in fact, it’s a terrible feeling. We all do it though… sometimes we forget somebody’s birthday, an anniversary, an appointment, somebody’s name, and so on. But I thank God that He never forgets. He never forgets you and I and always remembers us. That word “remember” means to keep in mind for attention and consideration. We are always on God’s mind and we have His complete attention and all of His considerations.

After the flood, God remembered Noah (Genesis 8:1). When Rachael was in need God remembered her (Genesis 30:20). When Samson needed strength he prayed that God would remember him and He did (Judges 16:28-30). When Nehemiah restored the offerings to the Lord he prayed that God would remember him (Nehemiah 13:14). The thief on the cross asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His kingdom, and He did (Luke 23:42-43) And God loves you so much that He will never forget you and will always remember you and everything about you!

“But Zion said, ‘the Lord has forsaken me and the Lord has forgotten me’. Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget you but I will never forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.” Isaiah 49:14-16

Today, know that He has not forgotten you… he is with you… always!
