There is always room at Light of the World Church for you to get involved. When you volunteer your time and talents to the work of God in the church, the body grows and builds itself up (Ephesians 4:16).

If you consider LWC as your home church, we encourage you to consider joining one of the ministries. Please download the corresponding ministry application form and follow all instructions on the application. All ministries besides Music and Children/Youth use the General Ministry Application.

Education Ministries
School of the Bible

Within the heart of every believer must be a cry and a desire to have more of Jesus. Those who belong to Christ possess a hunger and thirst for the things of God that can only be satisfied and fulfilled by the knowledge and intimacy of Jesus Christ. One of the ways we do so is through the School of the Bible. Through classes and seminars we grow together in the wonderful knowledge and intimacy of our Lord Jesus Christ! Bible Studies are held every Friday Evening at 7 pm when in session. See our current schedule and study topics.

New Beginnings Ministry

This course is designed for New Believers in Christ who want to learn how to live their lives for Christ. God has given the new Christian instructions as to how to live for him. We will explore the Good News of the Kingdom, the life of Jesus Christ, and other topics such as how to read the Bible, how to pray, and how to be a strong Christian. The class meets on Sunday from 9-10 am in the Sanctuary's Welcome Center when in session. See our current schedule.

Book & Media

The Book and Media Ministry is responsible for the distribution and sales of sermon audio CDs preached weekly from the pulpit, music CDs, Bibles, biblically based books and other items. All visitors and members of the congregation have the opportunity to browse these items and purchase in the Book / Information Center after all regularly scheduled services. This ministry is one of the ways that visitors and members of the congregation come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior; and develop a deeper walk with Him.

Group Ministries
Men’s Ministry

The Men's Fellowship provides opportunity for the men to come together for fellowship, Bible studies, and prayer. We have a men's breakfast meeting every other month and men's all night prayer meetings the third Friday of every month, as well an an annual men's weekend retreat.

Women’s Ministry

The women’s ministry serves to encourage and disciple women by prayer, Bible study, fellowship and special events throughout the year that deal with issues all women can relate to.

Caleb Ministry (Sr’s)

Caleb is a specialized ministry for men and women 55 years and older. The group meets the second Saturday of every month for a meal, prayer, and fellowship. Sometimes, special speakers are invited to address relevant topics in the meetings. Group activities also include outings.

The Caleb Ministry's aim is to follow the model given by Caleb in the Bible, who was still as strong at 85 years old as when Moses first sent him into battle. He served the Lord wholeheartedly all his life and was ready for battle even in old age (Joshua 14:10-12). This example given by Caleb is an inspiration for those in their golden years to serve the Lord as passionately as ever before.

Ablaze Youth Ministry (Age 15–19)

The Ablaze youth ministry sets out to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth of today in order to transform lives and develop a passion for God. Through the study of God’s Word, we look to learn core truths for fruitful Christian thinking and living. All the while, building strong bonds with one another. Our focus is knowing Jesus Christ…and we do that by developing a passion for His Word, identifying and using our God given gifts and abilities, formulating a Christian worldview, building relationships with peers and other groups, and preparing for adulthood. Ages 15 to 19 are welcome to join us in “The Loft” on Friday nights from 7–8:30 pm.

Crossroads Junior Youth Group (Age 11–14)

The Crossroads youth group for ages 11–14 meets on Friday nights at 7pm for praise and worship, the study and application of God's word, and other fun activities. We believe the Word of God will transform the lives of our youth and show their generation the path of reconciliation, salvation, and a standard of holiness in Jesus Christ.
